Bluberi Gaming Launched James Win Pokie Machine

james win slot logoThrill seekers and adrenaline junkies will be delighted to see that James Win deals with the much loved theme of everybody’s favourite spy – James Bond. Unofficial rendition of the iconic character dwells into the mystery world of espionage through a 5-reel, 3-column game with the total of 30 active paylines.

Microgaming tried to be true to the James Bond theme with their graphic outlay of the game set in the streets of London, but the fact this gaming company tends to produce a new title every months might be responsible for a certain negative feel around the entire visual presentation of this video slot.

What We Love

James Win deals with a universally accepted and adored theme and one of the world’s most successful movie franchises. The MI6 special agent 007 is on his ever-lasting mission to save London, but his doppelganger James Win is on a mission to reward players with great cash prizes.

The latest title from the Microgaming’s creative kitchen is a game that is sure to be appealing for all kinds of gamers thank to its wide range of available bets. With coin values starting from as little as 0.01, both casual gamers and high rollers will agree that the top stake of $30 is quite affordable.

The game is filled with plenty of exciting features, including a stacked Wild Lady Spy which will award you with additional Wilds and even multiply your wins 2x and even 16x, if you get really, really lucky. You should keep your expectations low however as these maximum wins are pretty hard to achieve.

What We do not Like

It might be down to personal preference, but the fact that James Win is an unofficial version of such legend like James Bond can be an initial put-off for 007’s fans.

In all honesty, graphical solutions are not exactly state of the art and are lacking the modern feel. The game’s screenplay looks too plain and simple. Microgaming attempted to achieve the 3D feel with an engaging Wild of a female spy which goes out of the telephone booth to throw the Wilds around, but the entire presentation is too rigid and artificial, lacking fluent movement and natural look.

We have been pretty surprised by James Win’s poor soundtrack as well. There are no background audio effects or music, and the only time you will hear a sound is when you spin the button or land a win on your reels. Such an adventurous theme deserved to have a rich music theme incorporated throughout and this is one of the game’s biggest flaws.

As for the wins themselves, the game really is filled with rewarding features but they are just too hard to achieve. It might be down to our personal feel, once again, but the only thing we were able to get during the entire time we sat out playing this game was the Lady Spy Wild as there was no sight of bonus features. In addition, our wins rarely went beyond our initial stake which was another negative impression we got from playing this particular game.

Worth Playing?

Being huge fans of the James Bond franchise, we might be a bit biased with our final verdict regarding the game. Our general impression regarding the Microgaming’s James Win video slot is underwhelming at least as the creators could have done much more to improve the overall experience, and both the visual and audio impression.

Go out and try this game, just for the sake of interesting special features if nothing else and prove us wrong if you manage to scoop serious winnings and have fun at the same time with this particular game.
